My name is Spike Hall. I am an emeritus associate professor of Special Education and Educational Psychology at Drake University.
I have taught children, adolescents and adults since I was 24. That’s 40 years. Yeoww!
I now have more time to focus on writing, now that the teaching & advising & administering & committee work will no longer be so central.
I’m having a good time and learning much — in a formal, expressible sense — about what I think is urgent and important in education.
I am married and have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. I was raised in the San Francisco Bay area but have spent the last 30 some odd years professoring and consulting in the Midwest. My wife and I make our home in Des Moines, IA.
